Commenting on Turkish Airlines' new investment,
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Directors and
Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines,
said: We are pleased to announce our new brand Widect, where we
combine our expertise in logistics and air cargo with customized
solutions and innovation for e-commerce. We regard Widect as an
important driving force to increase cooperation in the dynamic and
growing e-commerce sector and expand the e-commerce ecosystem. We
have seen so far that Turkish Airlines' launch of flights to a
country contributes significantly to the increase in trade volume
with that country. With this approach, we aim to provide the
solutions that our country's exporters need, to make new markets
accessible and thus create new opportunities and to reach 10% of
total exports, which is our country's e-export target.
Widect, which combines high reliability, transparency, speed and cost advantages, will start its operations in the first quarter of 2024.
